I'm Angela C. Chastain. I've founded multiple nonprofits, served as Executive Director of two organizations, written and won hundreds of grants, and sat on the other side of the table evaluating funding applications.
Over the years, I've learned that most nonprofit challenges don't begin years after launch—they begin before the organization is even formed. Too many passionate founders rush into filing paperwork without fully understanding the need they're trying to address, the organizations already doing similar work, the responsibilities of board leadership, or what it actually takes to sustain a nonprofit beyond the first year.
